These are the best MSI motherboards you can buy in 2022

MSI is a brand that needs no introduction in the PC hardware space. From best gaming laptops to best monitors, there’s hardly a category that MSI hasn’t tapped into. MSI also has a lot of products to offer in the desktop PC components space. In this article, we’ll be taking a look at some of the best MSI motherboards you can buy on the market right now. Some MSI motherboards already feature in our collection of the best gaming motherboards.

We’re adding the best MSI motherboards for both Intel as well as AMD CPUs, so you’ll find plenty of options here. For AMD Ryzen 7000 you’ll be needing X670, and if you’re eying up a new 13th Gen Intel build then you can either grab a Z690 and update the bios, or wait it out a little for the Z790 motherboards which we’ll be rounding up as they become available.

Best Z690 motherboard: MSI MPG Z690 Carbon WiFi

A black-colored MSI motherboard with RGB lights on a white background
MSI’s MPG series has a lot of popular motherboard options but we think the MSI MPG Z690 Carbon WiFi is one of the best you can buy. Its black-colored PCB is mostly covered with heatsinks and shrouds to hide all the components. The VRM heatsink cover sports the MSI Dragon logo that lights with RGB LEDs. There’s also Carbon branding towards the bottom of the motherboard. But besides these obvious pieces of branding, MSI has managed to keep the motherboard rather minimal. The rear panel cover over the VRM heatsink also has a carbon fiber texture.

The MSI MPG Z690 Carbon WiFi motherboard features a robust power delivery system with direct 18+1+1 phase power. You get dual 8-pin EPS connectors to deliver CPU power. The overall system is quite reliable and the thermal output is maintained well with a sophisticated heatsink. The heavy-plated MOS heatsink has a heat pipe to transfer the heat. It has also MOSFET thermal pads to establish proper contact with the heatsink and the module itself. You’ll also see that the VRM heatsink extends towards the bottom to cover the chipset and the M.2 modules too.

The MSI MPG Z690 Carbon has four DIMM slots with support for up to 128GB DDR5 memory. This motherboard also comes with three full-sized x16 PCIe slots. and it supports PCIe 5.0. For storage, you get as many as five M.2 slots and six SATA connectors with support for RAID 0,1,5, and 10. The IO shield at the back comes pre-installed out of the box and covers a wide variety of ports including 10 USB ports, a 2.5Gb LAN port, an audio jack stack, and more.

Best X670 motherboard: MSI Pro X670-P Wi-Fi

MSI Pro X670

If you’re building an AMD Ryzen 7000-powered PC then you will need an AM5 motherboard. Initially quite hard to get hold of, but fortunately MSI is on the case with the Pro X670-P Wi-Fi. This isn’t designed for serious overclockers, instead, it’s just a good all-rounder that packs features and performance at an attractive price.

Making up this motherboard is an eight-layer all-black PCB and a 14+2+1 power layout. There are some fairly substantial, but not overpowering heatsinks covering the essentials, which include the VRM, MOSFETS, and the X670 chipset. There’s also an additional heatsink over the PCIe 5.0 SSD slot and the board is set up for air cooling, AIOs, or custom loops. Other staples include the four DDR5 DIMM slots, built to accommodate up to 128GB of RAM, three PCIe 4.0 x16 slots of which two are reinforced, and a PCIe 3.0 x1 slot for smaller expansion cards.

You’re not left wanting for connectivity options, either. The internal ports and those on the rear cover USB 3.2 Gen 1, Gen 2, and Gen 2×2 Type-A and Type-C. Storage is catered for by six SATA connections and four M.2 slots, and as the name implies, it has wireless networking. Specifically, Wi-Fi 6E joins Bluetooth 5.2 and 2.5G Ethernet. Even the audio hardware is pretty solid, with this motherboard housing a high-definition ALC4080 Audio Processor.

It’s not the flashiest or the most feature-packed, but it’s a great motherboard for anyone who just wants to put together a good quality AMD build.

A good all-rounder for anyone building a new AMD Ryzen 7000 PC powered by MSI.

Best affordable Z690 motherboard: MSI Pro Z690-A WiFi DDR4

A black-colored MSI motherboard with silver accents next to its retail box

The best thing about this motherboard is that it supports DDR4 memory which means you can also bring your old RAM with you for the new build. So if you’re trying to build a 12th or 13th Gen Intel PC on a budget, it makes total sense. The MSI Pro X690-A WiFi DDR4 motherboard supports memory speeds up to DDR4-5200, which means you can install a lot of high-performance modules on it. Notably, you also get support for PCIe 5.0 with this motherboard, so you’re not necessarily missing out on all the important features.

You get three PCIe x16 slots on the board in addition to a single X1 slot. For storage, you’re looking at four M.2 slots. This is better than a lot of other expensive boards we’ve seen on the market. Additionally, you can also connect six SATA drives with support for RAID 0,1,5, and 10. In terms of the design, it’s fairly simple. It’s an all-black motherboard with very little in the way of unnecessary flair. The VRM heatsink is fairly substantial as is that over the chipset. Even the M.2 slots are exposed on this motherboard. There are exposed M.2 slots though, so you’ll potentially need to supply additional heatsinks.

Also missing on this motherboard is the pre-installed IO shield. Instead of installing it on the board itself, MSI will give you a separate IO shield for you to install while building the PC. This is commonplace for budget options but it doesn’t look as smart. But you do get a solid selection of ports, though with as many as eight USB ports at the back including a USB Type C port. There’s also an HDMI port and a Displayport for booting without a discrete GPU. There’s also a legacy PS/2 port for the keyboard and mouse in addition to a 2.5Gb LAN port and a full stack of audio ports.

Best B660 motherboard: MSI MAG B660 Tomahawk WiFi

MSI MAG B660 Tomahawk WiFi DDR4

If you are in the market to buy a reliable B660 motherboard for your new budget Intel build, then we recommend checking out the MSI MAG B660 Tomahawk WiFi motherboard. Despite being a relatively affordable LGA1700 motherboard, the MAG Tomahawk WiFi motherboard offers plenty of great features.

The MSI MAG B660 Tomahawk WiFi is a fairly simple-looking motherboard with a black-colored PCB. A large portion of the PCB is covered with a heatsink, which is a good thing for thermals. It’s also subtle, with no RGB to be found anywhere. The MSI MAG B660 Tomahawk WiFi features a robust power delivery system which should be enough to handle even some of the high-performance 12th Gen CPUs. The mainboard also packs a solid VRM heatsink to keep the temperatures in check.

The MSI MAG Tomahawk B660 motherboard sports an LGA1700 CPU socket and four DIMM slots. One of the best things is that it’s available in both DDR4 as well as the newer DDR5. That being said, you’ll have to pick the one based on the modules you plan on using because you can’t use both on a particular board. The DDR5 version of this motherboard supports memory speeds of up to 6200MHz (OC+) whereas the DDR4 version supports 4800+ memory speeds. You can install up to 128GB of RAM on either version.

It also comes with two full-sized PCIe x16 slots with support for up to PCIe 4.0. The main PCIe slot for the GPU is also reinforced to make sure it can easily hold even bigger and heavier GPUs. As for the storage, you get three M.2 slots and six SATA connectors with support for RAID 0,1,5, and 10.

MSI MAG B660 Tomahawk WiFi DDR4
The MSI MAG B660 Tomahawk WiFi is a solid option to consider for those who are looking to build a mid-range PC using Alder Lake chips.

Best X570 motherboard: MSI MPG X570 Pro Carbon WiFi

A black-colored MSI motherboard with RGB lights

If you’re building with Ryzen 5000 still then we recommend checking out the MSI MPG X570 Gaming Pro Carbon motherboard. This is, without a doubt, one of the best AMD motherboards for the previous gen CPUs. It’s a sophisticated board with tons of RGB lighting, heatsinks, cooling, and features.

You can install up to 128GB of DDR4 memory on this motherboard up to DDR4-4200 memory speeds. You get two PCIe 4.0 and two PCIe 1.0 slots on the board. For storage, you get M.2 and the use of up to six SATA ports with support for RAID 0,1, and 10.

The MSI MPG X570 Gaming Pro Carbon motherboard comes with a pre-installed I/O shield. The IO shield covers a wide variety of ports including seven USB ports, an HDMI output for using integrated GPU, an ethernet port, and more. You also get a full stack of audio ports at the back. In addition to this, this motherboard also has plenty of headers for USB, fans, RGB, and more.

The MSI MPG X570 Gaming Pro Carbon WiFi motherboard offers reliable performance. It’s proven to handle even the most demanding CPUs out there on the market. We recommend pairing this board with, say, a Ryzen 9 5900X and a potent CPU cooler. This board can also handle overclocking and the VRM heatsink should be able to keep the thermal output in check to prevent any sort of throttling. The chipset heatsink is also equipped with a fan at the bottom, so that’s going to be enough to keep things cool even under heavy load.

Best B550 motherboard: MSI MAG B550 Mortar

A black-colored MSI motherboard next to its retail box

The MSI MAG B550 Mortar is yet another solid motherboard in the company’s MAG lineup. This one comes with the B550 chipset and an AM4 CPU socket to support AMD’s Ryzen CPUs from the 3000 and 5000 series. This gaming motherboard is a solid option for those looking to build a gaming rig without burning a huge hole in their pockets. You get an all-black PCB with a matching VRM heatsink cover and a couple of shrouds.

The MSI MAG B550 comes with an 8+2+1 power delivery system for reliable performance. This board can support even the most demanding Ryzen CPUs out there, but this is a mid-range motherboard, so you might not be able to get the performance overclocking performance out of it. Overclocking is possible though and it should be fine as long as you’re using a reliable cooling solution overall. You can install up to 128GB DDR4 memory on this board with memory speeds of up to 4400MHz.

This motherboard has two PCIe x16 slots and two PCIe x1 slots. For storage, you only get two M.2 slots, but you can add more SATA drives to your rig. There are six SATA connectors with support for RAID 0,1, and 10. The MSI MAG B550 Mortar comes with a pre-installed IO shield covering the back ports. As for the ports themselves, we’re looking at a total of six USB ports including a Type-C option. There’s also HDMI and a DisplayPort output for booting without a discrete GPU. Lastly, you also get an ethernet jack along with a full stack of audio ports.

These are the best OnePlus 10 Pro deals in 2022

The OnePlus 10 Pro is the latest top-tier flagship from OnePlus, and it has the right chops to it to make an impact in the flagship space. When the phone launched, it did not work with 5G on AT&T, but has since gone on to receive the “AT&T Authorized” label to represent its compatibility on the network. The rest of the phone is also enticing: while yes, it is not an “Ultra” phone, it manages to hold its own ground so far in the year. If you’re convinced by the phone’s capabilities, including that of its camera, here are all the best deals you can grab for yourself.

OnePlus 10 Pro: Pricing

The OnePlus 10 Pro 5G 8GB + 128GB model is available for $699 in the USA, £799 in the United Kingdom, and ₹61,999 in India. For the 12GB + 256GB model, you have to pay $869, £899, ₹66,999 respectively. The device does come with a case in the box, but just in case you are looking for further options, you can check out our recommendations for the best OnePlus 10 Pro cases.

Best OnePlus 10 Pro Unlocked Deals in the US

OnePlus Store

OnePlus’s online store is the premier destination if you want to get any of OnePlus’s recently launched products for a great deal. For the OnePlus 10 Pro, the company is accepting RedCoins to shave up to $20.97 off the price, and letting users earn up to 699 RedCoins when purchasing the device, and another $50 off if you own a previous OnePlus device. If you buy the 12GB + 256GB version, OnePlus is throwing in an official case (choose between the Karbon Bumper or the Sandstone Bumper case) and the excellent OnePlus Buds Pro, for free.

    OnePlus 10 Pro
The OnePlus Store is offering loyalty discounts and accepting RedCoins. If you buy the higher storage variant, you can also get a pair of OnePlus Buds Pro and an official case with every purchase

Amazon.com

Amazon is often preferred by a lot of people since they can take advantage of their Prime memberships and available credits as well as buy their other necessities from the platform. Pricing for the device remains the same, but you get different benefits on this platform. For instance, Amazon is offering up to $526 in trade-in credits against your older device when you purchase this device.

Best Buy

If your retailer of choice is Best Buy, perhaps because of its Best Buy Total Tech membership, then you’d be glad to know that Best Buy also keeps the OnePlus 10 Pro. If you choose to activate the device immediately, you get lower pricing: $600 for the 8GB version.

Best OnePlus 10 Pro Carrier Deals in the US

In the US, people do prefer buying their device directly from the carrier they will be using it on. The situation is a little complicated for the OnePlus 10 Pro. For one, the device will only be fully supported on T-Mobile and AT&T. It will miss out on Verizon’s mmWave 5G.

T-Mobile

T-Mobile is offering up to $325 trade-in discount when you purchase the OnePlus 10 Pro, alongside some lucrative offers on contract. Pricing starts at $33.34/month for 24 months with $0 down

    OnePlus 10 Pro
If you're looking to purchase the OnePlus 10 Pro through a carrier, T-Mobile makes it easier for you to get one on contract

While the OnePlus 10 Pro is a great flagship, there is a valid argument to be made on how good its own predecessor, the OnePlus 9 Pro is. Since the OnePlus 9 Pro is now available at a discount than what it was priced at launch, you get much better value on it. The differences between the two flagships are largely on the processor side, although the system-wide throttling on the OnePlus 10 Pro closes that gap down. Other changes are minor and hence, the OnePlus 9 Pro also remains a viable purchase. Let us know if you end up choosing the OnePlus 10 Pro over the OnePlus 9 Pro!

These are the best Samsung Galaxy A53 cases to buy in 2022

The Samsung Galaxy A53 5G forms part of Samsung’s non-flagship A-series lineup in 2022. It’s a practical device that opts to provide a slew of all-rounded features instead of capitalizing on only one spec and ignoring the rest. The result is a device that will suit the average consumer just fine. Because of the marketing push that Samsung usually has for the A-series, and the fact that it has extensive retail distribution channels across major markets of the world, the Galaxy A53 5G is poised to become one of the most easy-to-recommend and easy-to-purchase phones under the $500 price segment.

If you have managed to grab one of these through a stellar deal, we’d recommend opting for a case and a screen protector. The Galaxy A53 5G has a polycarbonate back and sides — some people may like the grippy texture, while others may not be a big fan. Either way, dropping the phone has a strong probability of damaging it. The phone has a long 4 years of promised software updates, so you’d the hardware to be in good shape too to last that long. So here are our recommendations for the best Samsung Galaxy A53 5G cases across various categories!

    Spigen Rugged Armor

    Best seller

The Spigen Rugged Armor is the best selling case for the Samsung Galaxy A53 5G, thanks to its affordable pricing, excellent protection, and sleek look. This case ticks all the right checkboxes, and if you have to buy just one case, you cannot go wrong with this one.
    Supcase Unicorn Beetle Pro

    Best rugged case

If you want protection that is unmatched, then the Supcase Unicorn Beetle Pro is here to serve your needs. You not only get a rugged case, you also get a screen protector, an integrated kickstand, and a belt clip holster. It's the ultimate case that ensures nothing happens to your phone.

    Promoted

    Spigen Ultra Hybrid

    Best clear case

The Spigen Ultra Hybrid is one of my personal top choices for every phone I own. This case lineup has re-inforced sides and good quality protection. If you want to show off the fun colors that the Galaxy A53 5G comes in, this is the case you get.
    Otterbox Commuter Lite

    Great rugged case

The Otterbox Commuter Lite for the Galaxy A53 5G is another alternative for a rugged case, and it works out for people who want a focus on protection but yet want a simpler design that does not scream for attention. This case has a two part design that gets you both a flexible TPU inner shell and a harder outer cover.
    iBlason Cosmo

    Best stylish case

The iBlason Cosmo series has its own unique draw, thanks to the intricate patterns with gold colored weaving across rose gold, marble white, and gray accents. This case also has an integrated screen protector. This is the case you get when you want to draw attention while still keeping your phone protected.

    Promoted

    S-View Wallet Cover

    Best wallet-style flap case

The Samsung S-View Wallet Cover has a flap that protects your display from dust and random scratches, while still letting you peek at notifications and the clock. There are also slots on the inside, letting you store some cards and cash. With this case, you get info on the display while maintaining protection, and you can carry from cards on the inside.

For now, these are the cases that we would recommend on the device. Unlike the Galaxy S series, the Galaxy A series does not have as extensive of a case lineup, despite the Galaxy A53 5G being available in the market for a few months now. There are a lot of generic cases, but the options thin out once you factor in brand goodwill, product reviews, protection, design, and cost. The options present in this article are what we recommend for anyone looking to buy great cases for the Galaxy A53 5G. In case you are looking for more things to go along, here are our recommendations for the best chargers and other accessories for the Galaxy A53 5G.

    Samsung Galaxy A53 5G
The Samsung Galaxy A53 5G is a mid-ranger that is available in most parts of the world. Combining a good display, with good cameras, decent daily performance and excellent battery life, the Galaxy A53 5G has all the key ingredients to serve your daily needs with ease.

The Supershieldz tempered glass is a solid option for those who want a simple screen protector to protect their iPhone 14 Plus' display. Just like some other premium options, this particular tempered glass screen protector comes with a 9H hardness rating for the best protection. It also comes with an oleophobic coating to keep fingerprints and smudges at bay. Despite its affordable price, this pack of Supershieldz screen protector comes with two tempered glass protectors along with an easy installation kit, so you're missing out on anything.
    Belkin UltraGlass Screen Protector

    Most durable option

The Belkin UltraGlass screen protector is one of the official accessories for the iPhone 14 Plus that's solid directly on Apple's online and retail stores. This particular double ion-exchange strengthened glass from Belkin is said to be up twice as strong as standard tempered glass. This screen protector also comes with an antimicrobial coating to prevent microbial growth that causes discoloration and degradation. Just like many other screen protectors, this one also comes with some thoughtful extras including an easy align tray, dust removal stickers, and a cleaning cloth.
    Ailun privacy screen protector

    Best for privacy

This particular screen protector from Ailun may not be the most durable option for the iPhone 14 Plus, but it's best for those who care about privacy. It's a privacy screen protector that will make the screen visible only to the person who's directly in front of it. It's a great option to consider if you're constantly worried about others looking at the sensitive information on your phone's display when you're using it in public. You only get one screen protector in a pack and it doesn't come with an installation kit, so you'll have to be extra careful with its installation.
    Mothca Matte Glass Screen

    Best matte screen protector

If you use your phone in bright environments and you're annoyed by the glare on your phone's screen, then you should consider checking out this matte screen protector from Mothca for your iPhone 14 Plus. This is one of the more popular matte protectors on Amazon with thousands of ratings. It's a simple anti-glare and anti-fingerprint tempered glass for your iPhone that's rated for 9H hardness and has curved edges. You only get a single screen protector in this pack that too without any fancy installation kits, so you can't leave the door open for any errors.
